Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Eligio ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users including hiring team members, interviewers, and account owners.

2. Description of service

Eligio provides a platform for conducting video interviews, generating AI-assisted interview questions, transcribing calls, and producing post-call analysis reports including vacancy fit scores and AI usage detection. The Service is provided on a subscription basis.

3. Account registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must verify your email address to access all platform features.
• Accounts must not be shared between individuals without an appropriate team plan.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to conduct interviews without informing candidates that the call will be recorded and analysed by AI systems.
• Upload or process data belonging to individuals without appropriate legal basis under applicable privacy law.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract model weights, training data, or platform source code.
• Use AI usage detection scores as the sole basis for automated hiring decisions without human review.
• Share account access credentials with unauthorised third parties.
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, quotas, or access controls.

5. Candidate consent

You are solely responsible for obtaining all legally required consents from interview candidates before recording calls or processing their data through the platform. This includes disclosure that AI analysis will be performed on interview responses. We provide the technical capability; compliance with employment and privacy law in your jurisdiction is your responsibility.

6. AI analysis disclaimer

AI usage scores, vacancy fit scores, and candidate rankings are provided as decision-support tools only. They are probabilistic signals, not definitive assessments. We make no guarantee of accuracy. Hiring decisions must involve human judgement. We are not liable for employment decisions made based on platform output.

7. Intellectual property

The platform, its code, and its design are owned by Eligio. You retain ownership of the data you upload (CVs, vacancy descriptions, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process that data to provide the Service.

8. Billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. You may cancel at any time; your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for unused portions of a billing period except where required by applicable law.

9. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or emergency repairs that result in brief downtime. We will provide advance notice for planned maintenance when possible.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eligio shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your access is revoked and your data will be deleted after a 30-day grace period unless you request earlier deletion.

12. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
